The Twins lost a game they shouldn't have Thursday night, but they won a game they shouldn't have Friday night, 4-to-3 over the Texas Rangers.
Matt Fox, who received the news at 1:30 AM Friday morning that he'd make his major league debut Friday night, pitched 5 2/3 innings for Minnesota and held the Rangers to just 2 runs. He left trailing 2-to-1.
The Twins tied the game in bottom of the sixth, only to see Texas regain the lead, 3-to-2, in the top of the seventh.
In the bottom of the seventh, Minnesota would score two runs. Danny Valencia singled with one out. Matt Tolbert pinch ran for Valencia. Jason Repko followed with a walk. J.J. Hardy then delivered an RBI single to score Tolbert. The next batter, Denard Span, singled to score Repko, giving the Twins a 4-to-3 lead.
